Exercise summary & custom actities

Hey, don't know if I am missing something here. But when I go to my exercise list on the app if I don't rename my workout to one of my custom activities I can see a little summary which included duration, average heart rate and calories burned. However, when I change the name of the activity to one of my custom activities this summary changes to distance, pace and average heart. Is there a way to keep the summary as duration, average heart rate and calories burned as this is more important to me than pace and distance!

Thanks in advance 🙂

Thought this would help make what I am trying to say clearer!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @peb23, hope you're doing great today Smiley Very Happy! It seems that you're using SmartTrack in order to record your activities.

Here are some notable changes to how you should log your activities:

  1. SmartTrack exercises do not include distance or pace at this time.
  2. Charge HR and Surge customers who absolutely want the distance and pace stats should manually log their workout or log the workout via GPS mode on Surge. Manually logged exercises will always override SmartTrack's automatically detected exercises.
  3. Before the introduction of SmartTrack, "Workouts" (which are created by pressing and holding the button on Charge HR or selecting "Workout" on the Surge) showed distance/pace, now those activities do not show distance/pace. We did this as "Workout" is a general term which can be an activity such as Push-ups, Yoga, etc. We want our users to see a common set of stats that is pertinent to any activity when an activity is logged as "Workout." When recategorizing your workout, your main stats will change as they're doing on your Fitbit app. This is the way that recategorizing workouts work, but keep in mind that you're not missing the duration since when viewing the details of the specific workout (just hit the activity) you'll get the whole information about your activity.
  4. If you went for a Walk, Run, or Hike and logged it as "Workout" and would like to see the distance/pace you can now recategorize the activity to see the distance/pace included.

Hope this helps!
