Exercise tracking

I just bought the charge 3 and there is no elliptical setting. It says that it detects the elliptical automatically but it does not. I use hand weights instead of holding onto the bars. It's now tracking my elliptical workouts as a walk and it's not recording the entire thing. It's tracking maybe 12 minutes of a 30 minute workout so my stats are not accurate. What can I do?

Set 'Elliptical' as one of the Exercise Shortcuts if it not already one; then use the Exercise App, telling it what you are doing and the start and stop times.

The charge 3 doesn't have that option. It has 6 other choices but
elliptical isn't on there. I wish I could still use my charge 2 but the
screen randomly died yesterday

In the link I gave above, scroll down a topic or 2.  It shows 20 choices you can make for the exercise shortcuts and tells how to make them the ones that show on your tracker.
