Exercises Disappearing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I usually log 8-10 exercises a day, walks and workouts. They are slowly disappearing from the app. Why? They were there, the zone minutes and daily calories are still there, but the exercises are disappearing a couple at a time. My watch still says they are there (goals), but not the app. Any help?

Hello @Jaydogger

There's an issue with Exercise data. Yesterday, I also experienced my exercise data disappearing. It seemed to get fixed for me yesterday evening.

Some users recently reported that their exercise data returned. Other users reported their data returned, then disappeared again.

I suspect the issue is on the back end/server side. They are likely still working on it and it could take another day or so for everything to get fixed for everyone.

If I learn of any updates, I'll report back.

I also want to report that all of my exercises have disappeared. My weightlifting automatically syncs from an app (FitBod) which That app shows that it has synced and I ran 2 miles this week including yesterday using the “start tracking” feature in the FitBit app. Everything was there literally an hour ago and now it’s all gone.

Pretty frustrated and hope it all comes back.

Seems like every few hours another exercise disappears. Tuesday and Wednesday are completely gone and now they are starting to disappear from Thursday...

Hello @Jaydogger & @GetSchilli

I looked at the Fitbit Status Dashboard website and saw that there was an issue with the Web API starting around the beginning of September. This impacts data syncing and is apparently the reason why we're having problems with seeing our exercise data in the Fitbit app. The current status is still showing the Web API issue as of today, 06 Sep 2024. So, they must still be working on fixing the problem.

Please be patient. I'll keep checking the status daily. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before it's fixed and we see all our exercise data again.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are now gone....

The exact same thing happened to me. Very frustrating as a runner and swimmer - the exercises are not showing so it's impossible to see split times for laps.

I’m a UK user…I’m also experiencing the same issue with disappearing exercises. This is frustrating as I’m trying to increase my activity this month to achieve an annual goal. I’ve tried adding them back manually but that also doesn’t seem to work. I hope this gets fixed pronto…it’s very demotivating.

Hello @MrsDJD @Jaydogger @Dontneedauserna

I checked the Fitbit Status Dashboard this morning. It still shows an issue with the Web API. Even though the description mentions "3P" (3rd party) apps, the timing of when this issue started is about the same time that many of us started seeing issues with our exercise data in the Fitbit app.

Please continue to be patient. Since this issue has been on-going for over a week, I suspect the fix is not an easy one.

Also in the UK and having the same issue, I even set my watch to 'workout' before exercising and the app still either registers nothing at all, or something random like a 4 minute walk!

Also tried adding it in manually, it doesn't save it. It won't let me amend the '4 minute walk' to what it really was, a 45 min workout.

Arggghg just as I'd got used to how awful the app was since the famous 'upgrade' last year, they somehow manage to make it even worse!!

had yesterday's run appear, but can't get todays even tho it has registered it as far as steps, activity minutes, Heart Rate range etc

Still missing some activities from last week.

all a bit random, just like Fitbit quality.

ironic that they took away the web interface which showed the exercise data in the past when I had trouble seeing it in the app.

Now this Tuesday's exercises are disappearing. Last week Tuesday, Wednesday. And Thursday. Disappeared. Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday are there. Same things is starting to happen this week. The app will save then begin to delete Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
