How do I purchase an extended warranty? I've seen a pop up appear in the app but can't figure out how to go back to it.

Hi @Nicole8888  this is something a moderator posted: "Customers who don’t buy the FPP at time of purchase from fitbit.com see a notification in the Fitbit app within 30 days of pairing a new device that gives them the option to buy the FPP.

 

That being said, if you’ve seen the offer 1 or 2 times, you'll get another offer soon. However, if you skip the 3rd the offer in the Fitbit app won't be available anymore.

 

An extended warranty called the Fitbit Protection Plan (FPP) is available for purchase with certain Fitbit products purchased in the United States from fitbit.com. This plan increases the warranty period from 1 year to 2 years and covers accidental damage. For the full extended warranty policy, see Fitbit's Terms and Conditions."

This is disappointing. I don't recall the number of pop-ups that appeared within my app. I disregarded the pop up the other day because I wasn't able to deal with it then and figured I could come back to it when I was ready. Why wouldn't this be available to purchase anytime during 30 days? I'm still within that time frame. What a huge flaw to only be able to register during their random pop-ups. This should be clear upon activation.

As our friend Odyssey13 already explained, you will receive 3 times the reminder to purchase the Fitbit Protection Plan within the firsts days after you setup your watch or tracker. If you dismissed all of them Fitbit acknowledges that you are not interested in it. Normally if you purchase your device over the Fitbit online Store, you'll be asked if you want to purchase the protection plan with your product, so that you get it as soon as you purchase your product. The reminders on the app are for those users who missed it on the Fitbit Store or purchased the product through an authorized retailer.

I've encountered this exact situation. I'm trying to give Fitbit money, and they won't take it if I don't do so on a precise day. I am not laughing with you, Fitbit.  I am laughing at you.
