HI there @Mashk123, nice to have you here in the Fitbit Community! This is the first time I heard of this error, so in order to start troubleshooting this issue you are experiencing please try the following steps:
Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
If the issue is not resolved, I would like to request a screenshot of the error you are seeing when you try to send the request to your friends. If you need help to upload screenshots to our community the following post will give you all the necessary information.
See you later and pay us another visit if the issue persists.

Best AnswerHi, I had the same issue and it appears that if you try to invite someone you have previously tried to invite it throws the error. Try inviting someone you have never invited before ie a new contact and see if you get the same error.
It seemed to work for me

Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering if this is happening when you send the invitation from your Fitbit app to your friends in Facebook? I have never seen this behavior inside the Fitbit app.
Would you mind to share a screenshot with me? This will allow me to have a clear look of the issue you are experiencing. For more details to upload screenshot, take a look at this post.
In the meantime if this is something with the Fitbit app, try these instructions: Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
See you around, I'll be looking forward to your response if the issue persists.

Hello @SunsetRunner, thank you so much for the screenshots. certainly this is new or at least is the first time I see this error. Maybe I'm asking something obvious, but have you make sure the invitation to that user was not sent before? I just want to know all the details of this issue.
Did you try the steps suggested before to reset your app? How far were you able to go performing those troubleshooting suggestions?
If you haven't tried already or if the issue persists, I recommend to revoke the access of Facebook from your web-Dashboard under your application settings. Once you have removed the connection with Facebook, go back to your Fitbit app > Access to your friends list > Tap in the "Add: button located in the down right corner of the screen > Select Facebook tile > Connect your accounts again and try one more time.
Keep me posted how it goes.

Best AnswerI have tried logging out and uninstalling the app. Then I resetted my phone. I don't know what else to do it still is continuing to say the same thing and of course when I try to access the fit bit online there's no option for me to selectFacebook friends, so I am stuck
Best AnswerDoing the same to me. I can't add anyone I've tried adding before. Very frustrating!
That is the same message I am getting I'm not sure what exactly it means but it does not work
I have also had the same issue! I've tried everything they told me to try. Every time I try, the request bounces back! So annoying!!!
Best AnswerThis is happening to me as well.... I made a comment on the Fitbit UK Facebook page and they sent me here.
I posted a screenshot on there but can't seem to add it on here.....
Here is the link (hopefully) to the Facebook page.....

Hello there @matthewrbarnard, and welcome aboard to our Fitbti Community @JB-8, @Dave1001, @Jimbobw, @Bridgetbromjohn and @SunsetRunner. Thank you for all the details you have brought to my attention.
Also thank you @matthewrbarnard and @SunsetRunner for taking the time to share screenshots of this error.
In order to have more context, I'm wondering under which circumstances is happening this error, is it when you try to send the request from the Facebook friends, contacts or emails section of the Fitbit app? Also let me know which model of mobile phone are you using to run the Fitbit app?
All these details will help us to investigate further any possible solution. I'll be looking forward to your responses.

Best AnswerFor me it was when trying to add Facebook friends. I was using a Samsung Galaxy s7 until today (I killed it 😩) I've just set up an old Sony Experia and no Facebook friends are listed.....
Best AnswerI was trying to add friends via Facebook. I use a Blu vivo xl phone. It has been within the last six months or so that it wouldn't work.
