I updated to Android 13 today.
From then on, no sync possible anymore.
I already:
- Restarted my phone
- Shut down the phone completly
- Force quit Fitbit
- Deleted and reinstalled Fitbit (should be the newest version)
- Reset the Charge 5
- Shut down Google Assistant (apparently that's a problem with the Sense and Android 13)
- Restarted Bluetooth several times
- Hard Reset the Charge 5
Now I'm stuck with a watch that can't be connected anymore and is stuck in install mode.
Edit: To clarify. The Charge 5 is being seen via bluetooth, i get's found by the app, but it doesn't complete the connection.

Since this morning in France, with my z fold 2 and my Charge 5, after an Samsung/android update (IVL7 version), it works now. Afer 3 weeks of doubts, My Charge 5 was finally recognized by my bluetooth and fitbit app.

Hi all - confirming:-
Samsung Z-Fold 4 & FitBit Charge 5
Samsung Android 13 "Security" update today (28 December 2022 - Country UK)
Current Version: F936BXXU1BVL7 / F936BOXM1BVL7 / F936BXXU1BVL7
Security Patch Level: 1 December 2022
On restart after update and connecting FitBit to charge cable, phone found FitBit, tapped "Setup" on phone and FitBit found followed by "Pairing code" request on app (code shown on FitBit) followed by short delay and then "Connected" with suggestion to download FitBit update which I did. App suggested a 40 minute delay, was quicker than that in my personal experience (about 15 minutes)
Everything now working, thank you to FitBit / Samsung team and all the posters on here
Personally? I reckon it was a security faux pas that meant the Samsung and/or FitBit conversation protocol broke down which is why they wouldn't complete the conversation - equivalent to "Nope, your names not on the door, you ain't coming in"

Yeah dude same here keeps saying app is needed, I tried everything even purchased another fitbit hahaha! So i seen a review that sum 1 spoke to fitbit, they said if we have fold or flip it will no longer sync, their is no ETA if a update. Just not Kool cuz it was working great.

I'm seeing that some phones are starting to work, but they are in different countries. Why is there a difference in where the phone is located? Here in the US, I have Android 13 with security patch level 12/1/22 and it's still not working.

I have the Android security patch level Dec 1, 2022 and my Charge 5 and Samsung Flip Z3 are still not communicating (in USA) on AT&T. Interesting that different countries seem to be having success, though. I've been checking for updates from both Fitbit and Samsung almost constantly - still no updates, not connecting and not syncing. Frustrating to see that some are up and working and I'm still dead in the water.

Just got my samsung update in TX, carrier is Verizon. My luxe immediately paired and is working as normal again.

I managed to reinstall my Luxe after today's update and it seems to be working fine again so far. I'm in France.

I am in the UK, I have Samsung Flip 4 and Fitbit Charge 4. Have been checking my phone for updates daily (under Settings/Software Update) and finally today an update was available ending BVL9, I ran it and was able to connect my Charge 4.
Thank goodness! Now fingers crossed I hope it works for my fiance's Xmas gift Fitbit Versa 3 and his Sansung S22 Ultra!
