FitBit app on Asus Memo Pad

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with using FitBit on Asus Memo Pad 8 or other Asus tablets. It is not listed in the supported devices list.

I downloaded the app and so far it seems to be okay, but I can't be sure without a FitBit device and I don't want to buy a FitBit device without a sensible chance it will work...

(I don't want to buy a new tablet nor a smartphone.)

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Hi there  @Alisska, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! In this case it is hard to say it will work, as you have noticed this devices is not listed as compatible in our list of compatible devices. So we cannot guarantee all the features of the tracker or the app will be supported. I understand you point of view in getting a new devices.

I can share with you my own experience with my phone. Is not an Asus device but is not compatible either. So far I haven't any issue using the Fitbit trackers, the only hiccup I've found is with the syncing process, as it may take longer than is expected.

In case the Fitbit is not supported, you can always use a computer. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for  future updates!

Hope you find the answer you are looking for and keep participating in our Community!

Thanks!

If I get to test my tablet with a Fitbit, I will publish the results in case someone else is interested too.

Using the computer is an interesting option, thanks for pointing it out.

I take it back.

Sometimes it works just fine, sometimes the sync is a nightmare.

Right now, I have restarted everything that can be restarted and attempted the sync five times. App shows some data (steps), web dashboard has none.

I have also looked into how to use the dongle to sync with a computer. Well, I run a Linux. And while there are unofficial ways to pair some trackers with Linux computers, none of them apparently supports Alta HR because it uses some kind of a different protocol. Lucky me.

Right now, I am tempted to sell my Alta HR. I like it. I really like it. But not enough to invest twice again its price into a device I can sync it with...
