Fitbit Alta and Samsung Tab 4 compatibility

I have a Galaxy Tab 4 7 inch and would like to hook the alta up to this device.  What will I be able to do? Can it send me calendar notifications or messages from google hangouts? 

Can it control music? Please describe the compatibility of these 2 devices and what you have experienced.

You can definitely use your Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 for syncing your Fitbit Alta with it. However, there are some features that might not be available not because of the compatibility but because of the type of tracker the Fitbit Alta is.
