Is anyone else having issues with the Fitbit app crashing?
I have tried rebooting my phone, opening it through my widget, and opening it through my apps. I keep getting the following message:
Fitibt has stopped.
Restart App

Android app keeps crashing when scrolling through graphs on weekly activity screen, it crashes on the total mile graph every time, and will not let you go past it.
Also after the recent update as mentioned in a previous post heart rate and calorie data were not syncing in connected GPS mode but managed to find a work around, if you sync to another time zone then back to your normal time zone it syncs the data correctly, it may work for other issues.
The update after daylight savings has caused some issues was working fine before that.

@JBACKHOUSE Can you clarify by taking a screenshot of where you're experiencing this crash? I was unable to recreate a crash in any distance metric of my own Android phone.
I also recommend restarting your mobile device, restarting your tracker, and then giving it another try. Let me know how that goes.

At this screen here when I try to scroll past it, and then this error message, I have restarted my device and re-installed the app, not tried to restart fitbit will restart tomorrow. Didn't think it would be a tracker issue as it syncs fine, unusual that it's crashing the app, would have thought it would just say no data sync etc.
Any ideas on the connected GPS syncing heart rate issue?
Cheers for the reply.

I reset my fitbit and restarted my phone which worked for a day, now crashing and not allowing me to scroll through the metrics, crashing again at the same point.
Tried resetting tracker, reinstalling app, factory reset on phone, signing in/out
any ideas? Thanks.

Yes I keep getting it at exactly the same screen see previous post, tried everything. Worked fine before the new update.

Same issue here. Waiting on support via chat to see what they can do. Nothing has worked to fix the issue (cleared data/cache, rebooted).

I even tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it and it still won't work.
I hope someone fixes this soon since my employer requires me to walk a certain number of steps per month and I was about 1,000 steps away and today is the last day of the month.

@ChristyDoodle, which phone do you have, and what version of the Android Operating System?
You might try the following steps to make sure you have a clean install:
1. Log out of the Fitbit App and close it. Open the phone Settings, Apps for Fitbit - clear Cache and Data, and Force Stop the app. Exit out of settings.
2. Open Google Play Store, My Apps, locate the Fitbit App, and select Uninstall. After uninstalled, close the Play Store.
3. Shut down the phone (don't restart, shut down), then start the phone again.
4. Open the Google Play Store, My Apps, Search for Fitbit App, and install it. After installed, exit the Play Store.
5. Shut down the phone (don't restart, shut down), then start the phone again.
6. Open the Fitbit app and Log In.
That should clear up any install problems, and ensure all of the correct drivers are installed.

Hi Larry, thanks for the detailed suggestion. I followed the instructions exactly, uninstalling/reinstalling the app while shutting down the phone in between. After logging into the app again the issue is still happening. This definitely seems like an issue with the latest update. My wife's phone has not updated yet and the problem is not happening.
I have a Google Pixel XL running Android 7.1.1. I received a ticket number from Fitbit support.
From Fitbit Support: "Thanks for letting us know about this issue. Our engineers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."

Thanks for the update, @Mark75. I was aware there were problems with the Fitbit app on Android 7 Nougat, but I don't think I had heard of it crashing the app. The original poster did not include info on the OS version, so I don't know if it is related.

Yes, it is working now. Since the app was not updated again (at least not on my phone) that tells me the issue was with the Fitbit server that the app communicates with. Otherwise they would have released a new version of the app to fix the problem.

Still crashing at the exercise metric screen, not a big problem but want to be able to at least view them.
Tried so far;
Log in/out
Delete re download app
Wiped app cache
Setup new device
Re-pair bluetooth
Wiped phone cache partition
Factory data reset on phone
Still no joy, charge 2 on galaxy s7 running 7.0.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1 and Fitbit 2.46...
I can successfully track my activity (run or walk) and when I finish the workout, the usual stats & GPS map are displayed. No problem there.
BUT: When I hit the "back" arrow to return to the main app, I get the dreaded "Unfortunately, Fitbit has stopped" message and the tracked workout does not save. I can go back and "log previous" exercise, but I lose the advantage of split times, etc. I love the device & app, but this has me ready to stomp my Fitbit into shards of plastic and LED and leave it on the sidewalk as a warning to others.
Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, logging in & out, etc. No dice.
