Fitbit App Crashing

I have had my Motorola Moto G6 Play for over a year now with the Fitbit app & my Versa.  A few days ago I did the firmware update which took a couple trys but was eventually successful.  About a week and a half ago my replacement Versa's HR sensor stopped working so I was sent a second replacement Versa in a 6 month period.  So 2 days ago I received the new replacement & removed my old Versa from my account & then went to add & setup the new replacement but everytime I tried to open the Fitbit app it immediately closes or says Fitbit keeps stopping try again later.  I have tried restarting my phone & uninstalling & reinstalling the Fitbit app several times.  Still the same problem, so at this point I have a totally useless Fitbit Versa that I cannot setup and a Fitbit app on my phone that does not work but did so previously for over a year.  Any thoughts on how to fix this I am beyond disappointed in Fitbit at this point because of this new issue & also now being on my 3rd Versa because they just stop working while I am training for a triathlon.
