Fitbit App doesn't save recorded activity distance

Hi,

When tracking activities using my Google Pixel Watch (1st Gen), the activity usually automatically registers and saves on the app. Unfortunately, since I am using a treadmill, the distance isn't recorded so I manually enter the distance in after completion. When I come back later to review activity history, the distance details that I have manually entered disappear. This has been happening for a while. Is there a fix for this or something that I have to deal with?

Hello @Lafresh

There has been a known issue on the Fitbit side that affects completed workout data.

From Moderator posts I've read, an update for the Android app to version 4.28.1 was supposed to fix the problem. However, many users reported that they are still experiencing exercise data issues in the app after updating to version 4.28.1. The Moderators acknowledged the user reports and stated that they will forward the information to support.

Users have reported that their exercise data and information seems to be correct in their weekly Fitbit progress email. So, that indicates to me that their data is getting uploaded to their accounts on the Fitbit servers. It seems that there's an syncing issue between the Fitbit servers and the Fitbit app that is causing the problem.

At this point, there isn't any troubleshooting steps that we can recommend since the issue is on the Fitbit side.

You're welcome, @Lafresh , although I wish it was better news.

From a few posts that I've read, it seems that the next update, version 4.28.2/4.29, is supposed to include the fix. I sure hope that this is true. This problem has been going on for awhile now.

The updates usually rollout in waves. Keep checking the Play Store the update.
