Fitbit App - how do I remove recipe suggestions?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

A few days ago, the Fitbit app started suggestion Fitbit recipes to me with pictures when I go to log my food (underneath Cals in vs. out). Here's a photo of the view on the app at the link below.

Is there a way to custom remove this from my Food page?

I really don't want to have more food tempting me to eat more when I'm working hard to lose weight.

It's a real deterrent to use this app to log food, which is a shame.

The worse parts for me are:

  • It now takes at least three full seconds to get to the food logging page because it's loading these locked recipes. It's a terrible experience, and it would be terrible even if I had the Premium subscription because I'd still have to wait an additional three seconds, which is a long time for an app
  • I am vegan, and so being bombarded every day with animal-based dishes is really not welcome.

No way to turn it off? It feels like the fitbit team didn't even test these features.

Totally agree! Get rid of the food videos! I don't want Premium, I don't want recipes! I want to log my food intake quickly and select just the information I want on the screen.

I absolutely hate these recipes. Please give us the option to remove them. I just upgraded to Fitbit premium and unfortunately they are still there.

I agree with what someone else said, trying to stay on track and lose some pounds is hard enough with all the food porn on IG and FB and other social media apps, I don’t want to see it in my Fitbit App. It’s in the way too. Please remove or give us the option to remove it.

I also dislike all the suggestions that pop up as soon as you open the app every morning. Please also make an option to remove those permanently. I don’t need Fitbit telling me more sleep is better. I already know that. I don’t need Fitbit telling me to drink more water. Please stop the nagging and unnecessary popups, recommendations, and suggestions.

Good day.

I understand they want to upsell to the premium product, but this new app”feature” is causing my iPhone to shut the app down randomly. I might be logging my meal and suddenly the app is gone. Super annoying.

Also - if the recipe suggestions MUST stay, can we at least tailor the content? It annoys me to no end that my phone functionality is being impaired by recipes containing stuff I cannot eat due to allergies.

Like everyone else, I see no value in these annoying recipe pictures (I’ve never clicked on one so didn’t realise they were videos). They take up space and bring no benefit. I would ask the Fitbit developers to take note and remove them.

Like others, I’m thinking of switching to Apple Watch after 3 years with a Versa. A pity as I’m still happy with the watch itself.

Totally agree.  So frustrating to have the suggested menu bar on my screen.  Absolutely hate it!

No way this drives people to Premium. FitBit should stick to what it does well. The recipes suggestions are just an annoying distraction. LET US REMOVE THEM!!
