Hello @ysadgametures, good to see you here in the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response. Thank you for bring this issue to my attention.
If the issue continue and the app keeps crashing, make sure you have Wifi or mobile Data always On when you are using the Fitbit app. Sometimes the app will crash while is loading information that require internet connection.
You did good in uninstalling and reinstalling the app to address this issue, I will recommended additionally to this to clear the cache of the app: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app (This may vary depending of the Android device and the OS version). Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
Is important to mention that the app has not being confirmed as compatible with this mobile phone, So it is likely the app will present some unexpected behaviors. For more information about compatibility refer to this help article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
See you later and hope this helps.

I have the latest version of the app. No updates available in googleplay for me. Whenever i laumch the app it will open and then it will crash. A box appears telling me Fitbit has stopped. Or keeps stopping. Quit app or send feedback. I just purchases my Versa 1 week ago... the versa works but how can I see my sleep and use my app on my mobile if the apps cannot work??

I just started having this problem today, too. I have had mne for 2 weeks, and the app was just recently updated. I'm glad it's not just me.

My newly installed fitbit app keeps crashing...I have only had my limited edition fitbit versa since the 29th of june. I have rebooted my phone and ran a update and deleted some storage files. This is the only app that I have on my android phone that keeps crashing. Is anyone else having this problem; it only started yesterday.

Starting yesterday the app started crashing on me and would not work. I get the app stopped working message randomly and anytime I try to open the app it opens and looks like it is trying to Sync and then crashes. I have a Samsung Galaxy J3.6 V with Android 7.1.1 and have version 2.73 of the app. At first I thought it may have been a memory issue with my phone so I cleared a bunch of memory and tried restarting my phone multiple times, didn't work. I also tried restarting my fitbit just in case and that didn't work. I just saw in another thread that 2.74 is available but when I go to play store no updates are available. As of now the app does not work and have no way of syncing my fitbit. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am having a similar problem that started happening in the last few days. App is crashing constantly. I'll try launching it after forcing it to quit, and it will bring me to the dashboard, immediately freeze, and crash again. Then it will continue to crash in the background and pester me with notifications. I've tried clearing the cache with no result. I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

I am facing same problem. App worked for 10 days and it has started crashing. Not syncing at all. I upgraded to latest version. The issue persists.

I'm having the same problem.
Last night and throughout today, even when I'm not in my android phone app, I would periodically get the following msgs, that disappears after about 3 seconds:
Unfortunately Fitbit keeps stopping
Open app again
Send Feedback
but sometimes I get the following message:
Fitbit isn't Responding
Close App
Wait
I should also mention that the day before the app message kept popping up, the updates for my daily stats were missing the activity info. For example, Fri. night I had played a doubles tennis match for 90 minutes. Everything was recorded except my excercise category... which had picked up 90 + minutes both Mon & Tues, when I was also playing 90 minute tennis matches.
So, I don't know what to do?????

This exact same thing just started happening to me this evening, the glitch pop-up and everything. I also own a Versa, but I've had it for a couple of months now with no issues as well as having had an Alta beforehand for over a year and not experiencing any sort of problems like this. I went ahead and deleted the app for the time being because the pop-up notification every 30 seconds was driving me crazy.

Ok, an update on the situation. I reinstalled the app and it finally synced up with my Versa again after several hours of not having done so. So far, no annoying pop-ups every 30 seconds saying the app crashed. Will keep this updated.

I'm having the exact same problem. I started getting the app closing/not responding notifications (when not in the app) almost immediately after my app updated (6-4-18). The app will stay open for a few seconds while it searches for my ionic but crashes the very second that it has found my ionic.

Same here - Samsung J5 2016. Have deleted cache, restarted phone (several times) restarted FB Versa - all to no avail. So annoying.

Just noticed that there was an auto-update to the app last night which may be at the root of the issue - hopefully the Fitbit tech wizards will work their magic and get this sorted!

Android user, had a week. Worked fine until yesterday. App crashes as soon as I open it. Cleared cache, restarted phone, still crashes. Any ideas? This is so frustrating because I've only had my watch a week.
