Hi everyone here. Smiley Happy

When I get my brand new Fitbit Ionic watch, I can't wait to set up it. Yes, work nice after set up. But few hours later, the App can't sync with my Ionic watch. I on off Bluetooth and Location, it doesn't work. I restart my Ionic, it doesn't work too. Then I factory reset my Ionic watch and set up again. Same problem Smiley Frustrated

*** reset and set up at least 5 times.

After That, I continued to research what went wrong. No Solution. Man Sad

No choice. I send my Ionic watch to service centre. It's good. I get another brand new Ionic watch after two weeks Smiley LOL same, same, same problem as above. Man Frustrated The Fitbit App always show ''Error with connecting'', cannot sync at all. Feel very disappointed with Fitbit watch.

*** keep update latest version Fitbit App in Play Store also same problem.

What can I do .......... keep wearing the Ionic watch without sync and listen music when jogging.

Two months later, suddenly thought of using old phone which is Android OS 6.0.1 to install Fitbit App.

yes yes yes ...... It's work perfectly. No problem at all.

*** already testing it two days.

*** Install many clock faces and Apps. HeartHeartHeart

Why? WHY? WHY? WHY? Android OS keep updating version, why Fitbit App still staying in Android Mashmallow (OS 6+)?

Hopefully my sharing can help to solve the problems.

For Fitbit Team, please take this issue seriously.

Thank you. Smiley Happy

Hello @Lohck.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and how you went about this situation.

In this case I'd like to ask about the first phone that you used. What Android version was it running? Also, what phone was it?

Also thanks for sharing that going back to an older phone helped you out.

Look forward to your reply so that I can better understand what is going on.

Hello @Lohck.

Thanks for sharing that list.

The phones that you mentioned that do not work, are not currently on the supported devices list so that would explain why this happening with them. The app is not fully optimized to work with those devices and thus issues like this can happen.

There is a possibility that a phone can work and sync as long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, but we cannot guarantee that it will. However that does explain why some of the phones not on the supported devices list that you tested did work out. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned how following the steps in this help article has helped them get their phones to sync, so you could give it a shot.

Please do know that our team is aware of the various requests to expand the list and include further devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
