Fitbit won't sync

My fit bit has not synced cor the past 8 days. I have tried everything. I can't even use it as a watch because the time is 1.5 hours off. Yesterday it was 1 hour and 20 minutes off. Really this needs to be addressed. I stopped wearing now. And i have an Ionic so i am not happy about this. It is only 6 months old. Also. The battery drain is getting faster. But it still goes for thee days on a full charge.

Hello @SheWatt!

I'd like to help out verifying what is going on. The first thing I'd like to ask is that you try following the steps in this help article. They should help with the syncing so that it starts working correctly. You can also check this article in regards to the battery drain.

In the meantime I'd like to ask you a couple of questions:

  • What phone are you using to sync your phone?
  • What Fitbit device are you using to sync?

Look forward to your reply! Let me know if you have any further questions.

I tried the above. Did not work. I have an LG Stylo 3 running andoid 7. This is the latest android for my phone. I am pairing an ionic that is 6 months old. I had no problems before this firmware update. When i unpaired my ion from the bluetooth and tried to find it again. It cannot find it.

Hello @SheWatt.

Thanks for trying to go through those steps.

This might be happening because the LG Stylo 3 is not on the supported devices list. This means that the app is not fully optimized to work with that phone and thus it could be that the latest update cause further optimization issues with your device.

Please do know that our team is aware of the multiple requests to expand the list. Maybe you could try to restart the connection from scratch. That might help in getting it to sync again.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

If i would have known my phone was not compatable with fitbit i would not have bought it. The ionic is a good chunk of change to put out and not be able to use it. Perhaps it would make better sense to have a display near the devices of what is compatible or at least a web address to go to in order check before one purchases a device.
