Fitbit Charge 2 won't pair to Droid Turbo 2 since latest Fitbit Update

Since updating my Fitbit Charge 2 to the latest firmware version I haven't been able to do the following:

- Pair my fitbit to my phone as a smartlock device (something I could do before the update)

- Sync my fitbit to my phone (Motorola Droid Turbo 2, with latest software update)

I have troubleshooted the problem with an online chat Fitbit associate who walked me through every troubleshooting idea he had. Nothing worked. He then told me to sync to a different device and bam! It worked. I have pinpointed the problem to be my phone specifically. My fitbit pairs to iPhones, so over the holidays I've been borrowing my father's phone for syncing to the app. Now that I'm not on holiday I would really like to be able to sync my fitbit to my phone again and get text/call updates.

I have checked the compatible devices for the charge 2 and droid turbo 2 is said to be compatible. Is it a problem with the new firmware? Motorola Droid Turbos can't upgrade to Nougat yet, will that fix the problem (they will hopefully soon)? I'm also having issues with my whatsapp and my droid turbo 2 now. It's newer problem (new bug I'm assuming since update?). I'm adding the information about the additional app because I think this is really sounding like a Driod Turbo 2 problem. Has anyone fixed this problem or have an idea for a solution?

Thanks everyone!

Hi @Rebekah0709 it is a pleasure to have you in the community with us.

I'm sorry to hear you have issues syncing with your Droid Turbo 2 after the firmware update. Thanks for contacting the support team to receive further assistance.  I see that indeed the Droid Turbo 2 is compatible with the Fitbit app.  In this scenario, I don't know what steps you followed with the Fitbit associate but have you attempted to restart your Charge 2 as mentionned by our friend @RodrigoFitbit?  Once this is performed please try again to Sync your device. But first, try to turn off and on your Droid Turbo 2.

Let me know how it goes. Smiley Happy

Hello @CarlosMo

Thanks for replying. There is an update in my situation in that my fitbit syncs immediately with my boyfriend's Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. I will attempt to share with you every thing I've tried to remedy my situation:

- I have turned off/restarted my fitbit at least three-four times in different attempts to sync to my phone.

- I have removed the app, turned off my bluetooth, turned off my fitbit and then turned on my phone, got the app again, and then turned on my fitbit and then when asked to use my bluetooth turned that on. Didn't work.

Screenshot_20161231-144343.pngScreenshot_20161231-144421.png- I have tried different variations of turning off bluetooth, phone, fitbit and app with no success.

I really have tried everything on the self-help pages here. I'm confident in my abilites to work with technology. It is strange that my fitbit will sync to anyone elses phone but my own. When attempting to sync it just continues looking for my fitbit and can't seem to locate it and make a connection. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have attached two photos showing the app looking for the fitbit and with the message tracker not found. It says it was synced today because I synced it to the app/my account using the Samsung Galaxy mentioned earlier.

Thanks,

Rebekah

Thank you for the information provided @Rebekah0709 and for sharing all the steps you have followed to fix this inconvenience. I recommend following the instructions provided in the I can't sync my tracker - Android App post. In the meantime, keep in mind that you can sync your tracker with a computer or another compatible device to keep your information updated.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

My Droid Turbo will not sync with my Charge 2.  I have been to Verizon and Best Buy.  No one can pair my Fitbit and phone.  Pairing it with another device won't allow me to get text and call notifications.  I am disappointed.  There should be a fix for this problem.  It seems that I am not alone.
