Have had fitbit charge 5 for two months now and have just started having the band detach itself from the fitbit. The first time I noticed it and collected it before it fell to the concrete driveway. Today, not so luck. Fitbit band detached itself again and fell off my wrist to the concrete. Not too happy about that! Not sure what to do about it. Seems like a a Mickey Mouse way of attachment of band to fitbit.

After researching the internet I now realize many fitbit users have this issue. I believe that the best "fix" for this is to hold the fitbit close to one of your ears, then gently push the band into the tracker until you hear a click. So far, it seems to have solved this issue for me.

My bands kept detaching and then I realized it might be that the release lever protrudes too far and can be detached by my skin.
I ground down the protrusions and it happens far less often. This photo shows the protureding tab befor grinding, bottom phot after grinding down. You can use an emery board or nail file, I used an emory board.
