Fitbit Charge HR not recording steps accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

My Fitbit Charge HR has stopped recording my steps accurately in the last few days. It now only records roughly two thirds of my steps. I do the same walk every morning so I know what it usually records. Have tried reset twice but has not helped.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

A very warm welcome to the Forums @Birdie54

Has the way in which you wear the tracker changed at all? Perhaps you are now using your other wrist or the tracker is more loose on your wrist?

Additionally, I'd like for you to try the following:

  1. See how many steps your Fitbit has at the moment.
  2. Walk 100 steps, making sure that you count them yourself.
  3. After the 100 steps check how many did your Fitbit track. If possible try this test twice.

Look forward to your reply and the results for the test so that I can find the best way to move forward.

Hello,

Further to contacting customer service they advise that sadly my Charge HR is faulty after only 12 months usage. We are currently negotiating a replacement and I hope to be back to my normal step count as soon as possible!
