Dear fitbit community,
I have the following issue with my fitbit: I wear the fitbit for sleep tracking. However, about half of the days when I wake up the next morning and want to access my sleep data, I find that my fitbit (Charge 5) is decoupled from my phone (Samsung Galaxy S10e) and no data is stored at all. I need to couple my fitbit again after such an incident if I ever want to sync again.
I think that there is no need to stress that this is super annoying! I have been using other fitness trackers in the past and I have never experienced a comparable amount of lost/missing data. (So far, I am really disappointed in fitbit)
@Fitbit: The problems I am experiencing are a no-go. Please provide a fix.

Hi @Sphinx347
Are you saying your tracking isn't connecting with the app, or that you have to manually add your Fitbit tracker back to the app, under your profile, using "Set up a Device?"

I'm not sure what is meant by de-coupled.
If there is a problem, apon opening the fitbit app., the user is prompted through the steps to fix the pair/connect issue.

Hi charleskn, Hi Rich_Laue,
I am quite sure that I use the correct app. What I am saying is exactly what charleskn formulated, i.e., that I often need to manually add my Fitbit tracker back to the app, under my profile, using "Set up a Device". So I can connect my fitbit to the app, but it is sometimes randomly removed and I have to connect it again.
When this happens (my fitbit gets somehow removed/disconnected from the app) I always loose data.
Best regards,
Sphinx

Thank you for explaining what is meant by decoupling.
Do you sync through 2 devices, phone/tablet?
The only way that your tracker will be removed from an account is if someone sets this tracker up to a different account.
If you sync through 2 devices, make sure that you log into the same fitbit account.

@Rich_Laue it sounds like you're saying it's OK to sync one Fitbit device to multiple/different mobile devices (tablet, phone, etc), but @Sphinx347 should make sure to use the same account username and login on all devices.
@Sphinx347 if you do this, make sure that the bluetooth connection is not active on both devices at the same time, assuming they are in close proximity. Otherwise, your Fitbit tracker may have difficulty connecting to your mobile device. The effective bluetooth communication range is about 30 feet, but this can vary depending on circumstances.
