Fitbit Friend Finder - not displaying Friends with Fitbit

Hello,

I have noticed that recently, when I enter the Friends Finder on the Android App, it only displays the Friends without Fitbit. This option used to display Friends WITH Fitbit followed by a 2nd list of Friends without Fitbit - but now it only displays the latter - where has my list of Friends with Fitbit gone?

Hello @Dwoods97!

There is a possibility that it could be that the app is not loading all information correctly. Let's try to log out and then back into the account and access the friend finder once again. Whenever details are not loading up properly, doing this has helped me.

Appreciate the message - I tried logging out and logging back into my fitbit app on my phone - but still the same issue - no list of friends with fitbit...

Thanks for letting me know that logging out and back in didn't resolve the situation. When did you notice this happened? Is there anything that you can recall that could have caused this? Any updates on your phone or the app?

I just set up my Charge 2 and am not able tp find friends with Fitbit, only friends without as well.  I have no app or phone updates waiting.  I did get a friend request from Facebook, but was not able to accept, and the message inadvertently deleted when I tried restarting the app.

Hi Lanuza,

There was a recent Android Operating System update on my HTC - but I do not know if this issue was there before or just after as it was about 6 weeks ago when I know the list was working fine, but only when I checked again a few days ago (as I knew one of my friends recently got a fitbit) that I looked again. So it maybe the latest operating system update but I cannot guarantee that.

Either way - it does not work still 😞

@Jomullen @Dwoods97 For your friends to show up in the "Friends with Fitbit" section, you must have their email address associated with their Fitbit.com account stored in your mobile device contact for them.

Hi. Please can you help? I am also having problems in seeing list of friends who owns fitbit - it only showing non owners. Also, in the Facebook section - this also is blank. I have tried logging off then on again. Tried to reset the App. Nothing is working. I am using an Android device. This has not happened before. It is very frustrating.

Thanks for checking on all of that and trying to log off and on again before posting in here.

It is possible that it could be related to the email address your friends are using. Keep in mind that the address being entered has to be the same as the one they used for their Fitbit profile, the same thing for the Facebook option. If they have a Fitbit and are using the same address as their Facebook account then they will show up, but if they aren't, they will not.

Thanks for getting back to me. This problem has never happened before. Both lists (friends with fitbit's & Facebook friends), always had friends listed. It only started happening, after when I accidentally signed out of the APP.

Could you clarify exactly what you mean by signed out? From what app? Did you sever the connection between Facebook and Fitbit? Could you please provide some insight on the matter? That's definitely help me find the best way to proceed.
