Fitbit Ionic not connecting to Galaxy S8

VERY FRUSTRATED!  I can no longer connect to my Samsung s8.  It connected just fine when I first setup the Ionic, but wasn't receiving notifications.  I reset to factory an uninstalled app.  Now won't connect at all.  For a watch as expensive as this, just shouldn't have all of these issues.  I've done ALL the troubleshooting recommended and still no connection. Now it just tells me to reset my bluetooth as soon as I try to setup again. Very frustrated consumer.  Will probably return.

Hi @Kstillie71, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. I understand your frustration after reading the troubles you are experiencing with your Fitbit Ionic. I'm wondering how it goes so far, is the issue still persisting? When you say the Ionic is not connecting, you refers is not syncing or is not connected with your account?

If this issue is limited to the app is not syncing, perhaps the following steps will give you some help: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

In addition, since you mentioned the app was uninstalled and reinstalled. I would like you to try this workaround: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

If you are able to sync and the notifications are still not working. Try these steps: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone

Keep me posted how it goes. See you later.

Yes. I shut everything down, uninstalled app and started over. So far so good. Thanks for your reply.
