Fitbit Ionic not syncing to Huawei or Kindle devices

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

got the ionic for christmas and everything initially went very well, however on the second day the ionic would not sync with the phone. several attempts later and It got very frustrating to the point that I was going to send it back.Mt daughter then has a good suggestion to get the app for the kindle. Fantastic!! it worked until the next sync and then has done exactly the same thing. I followed all the troubleshooting advice and its still not syncing with any of the devices that I possess including the laptop.

Its going back tomorrow if no one can help me.

I'm very annoyed and very frustrated. If I'd have been told this prior to forking out nigh on £200 smackeroonies I definately wouldn't have bothered. Help me please

Hi

Thank you for the reply.

Yes I have downloaded the app onto my computer and I have the Huawei P20 lite and its not on your list of compatible phones.
As I've indicated on the forum I've tried everyone of the fixes. The last resort was to remove the ionic from the fitbit app however when I tried to add a new device it would scan for the ionic, tell me its found it and that it was connecting but then tell me that there was a problem. I spent 2 days trying to add the device but have now got to the end of my tether.
I've contacted amazon and the watch is being returned.
I really like the ionic and went for a work out in the pool the other day and was really impressed with it. However the app is not reliable and I don't see the point in not being able to sync all the data over. I will be buying the huawei watch, not as good as the ionic but more reliable.

Hi there @hullboy, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems getting your Ionic to sync to your Huawei and your Kindle devices. Thanks a lot for all the efforts you've put into getting this to work.

When it comes to devices compatibility, due to Bluetooth issues that prevent certain devices, like Fitbit devices from syncing, our products aren't compatible with the following phones:

Huawei P8 Lite
Huawei P9 Lite
Huawei P20 Lite
Xiaomi Mi 6

For all other devices, if they're not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with them but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them. We're continually adding more devices and improving our compatibility, so if you don't see your device on the list check back soon.

To use the Fitbit app you must have one of the following operating systems installed on your phone or tablet:

Apple iOS 10 or higher
Android OS 5.0 or higher
Windows 10 version 1607.0 or higher
Alternatively, you can use the Fitbit app for Windows 10 on your computer, or use Fitbit Connect to sync with a Mac or Windows 8.1 computer to access your data and take advantage of the many features of your Fitbit device.

You can also try @Rich_Laue suggestion and see if that helps. Let us know if you need anything else!

PS. I'm moving your post to the Android app board for categorization purposes.
