Fitbit Ionic won't setup on phone

Hi,

I'ts been linked before and worked fine. All of the sudden it stopped to sync, eventually after 2 weeks, I deleted the app and re installed it. I then re installed tge Ionic. It only goes as far as pairing it with a code, but then it doesn't want to connect.

What could be the problem?

@Dunnay Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community!

Let me help you setting up your Ionic on your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Alvaro,

I've tried everything that youv'e suggested and it's still not working.

I've got a Samsung note10+, it's been working fine for the last 2 months. Then it stopped to sync. I've deleted the watch from the app and tried to re connect it, now it doesn't want to connect at all. I've now even resetted the data on the watch..... it got to the greeting page, I tried to pair it, did find it and if I put in the code nothing else happens.

I've tried again, but now the screen is just blank on the fitbit and it is fully charged.

Not sure what to do.

I've actually got the same issue on the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G with some differences. Sometimes I'll get the four digit code to put in and sometimes I'll get a check mark that it's been paired. Other times the phone can't find it and it's a pain to get it to. After it's been paired it tries to download the new firmware and that's about as far as I get. Wifi doesn't work to download and bluetooth just gives me endless cycles of red x's after showing 1% downloaded on my phone.

I've tried multiple devices to get it synced to my account but none of them can even detect the Ionic.
