Fitbit Labs prompt will not GO AWAY

ANSWERED

In the same space as the cardio target for the day, there is now a box that says:

Fitbit Labs

Ready to upload your first lab report?

Get a simple summary of your lab report. If you're not not ready, please share why in the survey.

Get started

If I tap on "Get started", I am taken to a screen where I can scroll down and choose "No thanks" or "Agree & Continue".  If I choose "No thanks", I never get a survey, it just closes, and the notification box never ever goes away.

It has been like this for a couple of days now. I don't want to participate in Fitbit Labs. I have turned off Fitbit Labs in my setting. Why is this box not going away??? I am tired of scrolling past it.

Finally, my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G got the v4.47 update, and the last fitbit labs box let me close it once and for all today.

I wish the rest of you get the update soon.

I finally recieved mine today as well and was able to finally close the
box. Thank you for finally fixing something that never should have been
this way... And should NOT have taken this long to fix. I used to be a
fierce supporter of fitbit. Not any more, Google. Good luck.

I am happy to report the 4.47 update finally hit my phone and (whispers so the Universe doesn't hear) the oh so annoying banners are gone.  I hope Fitbit has finally solved this issue that has been happing on and off for the last year or more.

I finally got my update, too. Like you, I am disgusted with this entire
thing, and I wonder how long it will be before we get another program we
don't want forced on us?

Finally got the update after two and a half months.

Thankful this is over... at least for now. 👍

Version 4.48 is working great for us on our Samsung phones.  At the start of the day we often get a banner like "Ready to hit your target today?" -- we simply use the X in the upper right side of the banner and close the banner out.  Goes away and all is well.  Just an example of how this is working for us.  YMMV

I was off using a brand x for a bit until it started affecting my nerves and went back to my charge 5 and noticed it was gone. (actually I think it may have appeared once with a little x and clicked the x and it was gone. Haven't seen it since. ver 4.47 on a stock Pixel 7 with 16 current. (I have a charge 6 on the way but that should be no different...)

Mine were still there but there was now an X in the corner to close it.

Which update do you have?

I'd installed several updates in the last several weeks, and it wasn't
until I installed 4.47 that the "Having symptoms?" and "lab report"
ads/notifications/whatever both disappeared.

There's been one more update since then (4.48) that I installed on
7/15/25, but I haven't noticed anything new, different, or improved as
a result.

I think I have 4.47. It updates automatically, so I'm not sure if 4.48 has
reached me yet or not.

The only way I've found to determine which version of the Fitbit
software I have is to check in Google Play to see which I'd installed
most recently. (I've never been able to find the software version in
the FB app itself!) My current version is 4.48, but it was 4.47 that
(finally!!) dropped those ads or whatever they were from Fitbit Labs.

I don't have my Google Play set to auto-install on my phone so I know
which apps are getting updates. (My wife prefers the auto-update so
she doesn't have to bother with the apps, installation, etc., so I
have her phone set up that way, by her choice.)

on Android 16: Settings/App/Fitbit - scroll to bottom and you will find the complete version number.

We just open the FitBit app>tap the icon upper right (normally your picture)>Tap Help -- App version is at the bottom of the window.

Just duo I'm clear, you're saying 4.47 didn't fix it, or 4.48, or are you
still on 4.46?

Weirdly, my Google Play just TODAY "updated" my Fitbit app, again, for the
second time in only a few days - but what really weird about this is that
it "updated" to 4.48 ...again.

As dumb as this will sound, I hadn't tried those steps - and yes, it worked
fine for me just now. LOL (I think I've been trying the OTHER corner!)
