Fitbit Notification Service always turning off

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This is a recent problem, but for some reason my notifications turn off.  The Fitbit app tells me to turn the notifications on, but they are already on.

I have to toggle them off and then on, and it works for a while..... but.... the same thing happens again.

The last app update seems to be the culprit.

Hello @MattJ71, good to see you again in the Fitbit Community! I can recommend to restart the application and clear the cache. For more help about this, please review the following post.

If this is not helping, try to set up your notifications again:

  1. Unpair your tracker from your mobile device. You can unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service, and then turn on call, text, or calendar notifications again.

Hope this helps. See you around!

Yes, I did this multiple times before.  It doesn't help.  Again, this only started happening with the last app update.  Quite annoying really since I have my phone on silent most of the time and I miss important notifications.

Hi there @MattJ71, thank you for keep me updated. In case the issue still is happening I recommend to uninstall the app and reinstall it again in case you haven't try this. Just make sure to sync before you proceed with this suggestion.

See you around.
