Fitbit Versa messages not working on Samsung Note 8

Just synced my samsung note 8 with my fitbit versa and when I receive a text message it doesn't show me what the text says on my Fitbit it just says I received a text.  Does it not work with Samsung as I know it shows the full message on your Fitbit versa when its synced to an iphone

Welcome to the Forums @Ozok85

Thanks for bringing this up.

This might be happening because the Galaxy Note 8 mobile phone is not compatible with the Fitbit app at the time and thus some functions do not work in the way that they were intended.

Some users have mentioned that trying the notifications troubleshooting steps have helped them so I'd recommend that you give it a try. It might do the trick.

I'd like to add that in this case, the list shows a compatible Galaxy Note 8.0. Please know that this refers to a Galaxy Note Tablet released some years ago and not to the mobile phone.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

You are saying that the versa and samsung note8 phone are not compatible? I was receiving notifications (calls/ text/ calendar)  but am no longer. It rarely syncs as well.  I've only had the versa a week but if this isn't going to be rectified then I'll have to consider returning it.

It's not that it is not compatable. it simply means that Fitbit hasn't tested or hasn't finished testing the Note 8 yet.

My thoughts on your notifications.

It is either a setting in the messaging app or Fitbit .

When I see this I turn off notifications in the Fitbit app. then enable notofications. At this time I am asked if I want to see the body of the message or not.

Hello @Rich_Laue! Welcome to the Forums @Meshell1.

Like @Rich_Laue mentioned, that a phone is not on the list doesn't imply that it will not work. But it does mean that we cannot currently guarantee that it will work 100% of the time.

Having said that, some users have had a positive experience with an app called Fit Notifications. Please keep in mind that Fitbit doesn't develop this app nor is it official and thus we cannot say for sure if it will work or how it works. I have seen other users discuss it and say that it has done the trick for them. You are welcome to try it if you want.

Let me know if there are any further questions.
