Seems when holding on to grocery cart or treadmill handle, Versa does record steps correctly?

I'm afraid that's a common issue with any wrist-worn tracker - if the wrist is not moving normally then it will not track your steps normally. Not much that can be done about this I'm afraid. See fitbit's comments on this here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1136/
