Hello @Geeta71.
Thanks for bringing this up, let me help you figure out what is going on.
In this case I'd recommend that you try to follow the steps listed in this help article. They should definitely help in getting it all to work.
In addition to that I'd like to ask if the update on your phone was for Android 9 or was it other type of update?
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I have the S8 same issue and any article on help to fix the issue doesn't work. There are lots of people here with the same problem and following the steps that seem to be the standard answer from the moderators...its not working

I have tried all tips and the only thing that works is to remove the battery. Every day. Seems a bit ridiculous. There must be a better way.

Hi, my Samsung Galaxy S9 stopped syncing with my Zip as well. The only way to get it to sync is removing the battery which is a real pain. Not to mention, doing so has deteriorated the plastic on the back so it's getting harder and hard to even do so. Is there an update or patch coming to fix this issue? Thanks.

Welcome to the Forums @jscheiman.
I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for sharing those details on the matter.
At this time our team is aware of a situation with Android 9 phones not being able to sync with Fitbit devices. Our team is looking into that situation and we will be sure to let everyone know as soon as we have any news on the matter.
In the meantime we'd recommend the steps showing up in this article.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Reported this same syncing problem for Samsung Galaxy S8 phone a couple of weeks ago after downloading latest android update (version 9). Was informed Fitbit team is aware of issue and working to resolve, but very frustrating that there's no ETA for actual resolution. Meantine only thing that seems to work is pulling out battery from Zip to sync (not a sustainable solution). Any thoughts on when this will be resolved? Thank you.

I am still having sync problem with my Samsung Note 9 despite trying out all the methods as listed in the Help article.
I have to resort to taking out the battery and put back in everyday to sync before i hit the bed. If I had forgotten to do that, the last 2 days record will be gone and won't be able to sync back.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a fix. The bit they didn't tell you is that they've been aware of the problem with Android 9 since August of 2018 and have been unable to fix it during these past 10+ months. A fix seems unlikely at this point.
