Received a charge HR fir xmas. Can not make it sync with my HTC one m8. Can anyone help before I take a hammer to the thing. Fitbit no help whatsoever.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @dolly28. It's great to have you here. Please be aware before syncing your Charge HR to your HTC One M8, it is necessary following the set up process. If you have already done it without success, please check out the basic troubleshooting steps to resolve set up issues. If you are still unable to set up your new tracker, please be so kind to try with a computer to see if it works. Then, it should be easier to link with your mobile device. Let me know how it goes.

I have tried both multiple times.
My phone has the app as a pre-installed and will not let me remove this as the main device or install the charge hr as an additional.
Through the fitbit website my dashboard is also linked to my phone and I can't see how I can change this.
My only option seems to be setting up a new email, opening a new account on fitbit and using this. Seems very long winded and also means I lose the benefits from being connected with my phone.
