After the last update I can't watch my skin temperature data. Every time I try to enter that section the fitbit app crashes.
From the day I got my Sense the stress management rarely shows any data. And synchronization between my Sense and mobile phone often fails.
Why aren't fitbit able to fix synchro problems with their products when every other brand out there seems to manage synchro just fine....
Best AnswerHi @JorgM it sounds like you are saying both questions are about your phone, yet there is no mention of what phone. Is your phone on the list of tested phones. There are also a few workarounds for android users.
Did you read this help doc which contains steps that Fitbit users have found to fix sync errors.
You had not mentioned 2 phones, computer, and Pad . My answers where based on syncing through one phone.
For sync, I'm saying the fix is usually on the phone, rarely on the tracker. Do a shutdown of the tracker.
You do make sure that the Bluetooth is turned off on all the devices except for the device you are currently syncing through. A Bluetooth device will only connect to one phone at a time.
No what I'm saying is that most sync issues are fixed with steps taken on the phone, not on the tracker.
You can restart a tracker, and some trackers may be shutdown, anything else has to be done on the phone.
When it comes to stress, how often do you run the EDA Scan?
As for skin temp causing the app to crash, remove the app and install a fresh copy.
Yeah this isn't my first fitbit so I know the different tricks. EDA i have tried to use ones a day lately. Stress management shows data some days in a row and suddenly doesn't show any data for some days. Even if it have all the necessary data to collect. Rework access, log out, delete buffer data, forcing the app to stop and finely delete the app if nothing else works. I have restarted the sense device my sync is working but still my temp measure doesn't work. The app crashes when I try to enter the menu. I can enter my core temperature but can't see my data. Haven't checked if it sync with the computer yet. Had to reinstall windows 10 last week so when the sense device didn't sync whit my phone after the last update than I installed the fitbit app on my pc I thought it was going to work properly there. But no didn't sync and I thought I was going to flipp out 😒 Since the sense now is syncing I'm afraid of doing all the different steps to see if the temp measure is going to work, but instead my sync problems comes back..... Temp measures is something that I look at since my body have a strange way to deal with sinusitis, it decrease my core temp instead of raising it. This has also been confirmed by my doctor.
Best AnswerNow I have done all the different steps, even deleted the app and taken a shot down of the sense device. But still the app crashes when trying to enter temp section. Before the last update I never had a problem with the temp section. There is a lot of people that doesn't understand why fitbit has update since they so often comes with new problems.
This is not a sync'ing issue. The skin temperature average is available in health metrics.
The issue is very much similar to the health metrics stat card crashing. That problem was limited to specific phones too, which fitbit solved in an update.
This is purely app issue. Everyone, please write down your phone models here.
Best AnswerI have a galaxy A7, Bought the sense 2 days ago. I can no press the temperature tiles because the Fibit app crashes.
Best AnswerI've also got a Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Fitbit app which repeatedly crashes when skin temperature is selected. I'm using it with a Fitbit Sense which I've only had for a couple of days. It seems to me that the app must be at fault!
I have an lg v20 with the same issue, and I have to jump through hoops just to resync the thing every time I plug my phone in to charge. For the price that you pay for the sense, after only a couple days it's nothing but a headache.
Best AnswerSame here. App crashes when trying to view body temp stats.
ATT Motorola Z² Force (Android 8.0), July 1st 2019 security patch.
Using Fitbit Sense.
Prior to update, app would crash when trying to view EDA, though EDA works now.
Best AnswerMy phone is Sony Xperia X Performance.
Tapping on Temp section in the fitbit app then the app crashes.
But on my Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet the Temp section works fine. Every section of the fitbit works fine on my tablet so hope it continues to work fine in the future...
Best AnswerSamsung Galaxy S7 here and the Temperature tile crashes the Fitbit App every time for me too. Using with a Sense.
Temperature stats are available in the Metrics section, but show as a chart in °F despite all my settings being in °C in case that is relevant. I tried switching my settings to Fahrenheit in case there was some crossed wire but it made no difference.
Exactly the same thing happened a couple of years ago when the Female Health tile was introduced. (That works now.)
Considering the price of the Sense, I do hope Fitbit solve this issue promptly. It is sold with skin temperature monitoring as one of its best wellness features and should be available to all devices.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the detailed information shared and the troubleshooting tried. I totally understand the importance of this tile to you.
I'd like you to double check that the latest Fitbit app is installed on your phone as well as the latest OS; a compatible operating system with the Fitbit app would be Android OS 7.0 or higher.
Let me know how it goes.

Best AnswerMy Android version is 8.0 and my Fitbit version is 3.36.1(20253536) which are the latest versions. Unfortunately the temp function still crashes.
Best AnswerLatest fitbit ap, all latest updstes to OS (Android Version 8.0) and all Android security patches etc up to date, too.
I also tried uninstalling the app and replacing with a fresh install, but it didn't work.
This appears to be the same fault in the app as has occurred multiple times with previous tiles when first introduced. Each time it has been fixed after a Fitbit app update not anything at the user end.
