Our team is aware of this and working towards a resolution. In the meantime, clear the cache and storage of the Fitbit app in the phone's settings > Apps > Storage.

Finally with the newest update my problem is resolved (I am the original poster of this topic).
So the problem started with Dec 20, 2020 update and ended with Jan 20, 2021 update.
This is very disrespectful. This attitude translates as "You have to wait for our monthly update schedule, even if we screw up, we won't fix it timely"
Disappointed.

Finally, with the last Fitbit app updates, it works!!
