So about a month ago, my Fitbit account started to be inaccurate on the app, from the picture below you can see the app is different from the weekly email. The weekly email is spot on with my recorded Miles. But the app has also changed my previous years progress totals.
I reached out to customer service and they said they would address my issue but after a week it hasn't been resolved so I messaged again and I was told they know about the issue and nothing. I have tried resetting my device, switching to a device, forcing close the app, un-install and reset my phone and re-install the app but nothing.
I don't want to contact the customer service again because I will be told they know about the problem and working on fixing it but the customer service representative couldn't give me a time frame when it would be fix, the last time I messaged them and the representative ended the chat after I asked that question.
It stinks not being able to track my progress of my fitness journey accurately.

There's an update for the Android Fitbit app, ver 4.26.1, that started rolling out. Although I haven't seen confirmation, I'm hoping that this update fixes the distance issue that you've been experiencing.
The app updates tend to rollout in waves. If you don't see the update right away, keep checking.
