Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the Google App play store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/23
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

Yes. Since finding an old app version 2.87 a week ago, fit bit one and my android phone working perfectly again and synching. Turned off auto update on the app and won't be updating again. Especially as they no longer sell the Fitbit One. Perhaps you're not doing any testing on it either for any new app version rollouts?

Clearly, the app updates and the new dashboard are coming from different servers. My app update 3.2 is working fine, syncing perfectly, no complaints (guess I'm unusual). But I sure would like to see the new dashboard. What does it take?
The last support person I asked says I should have it and she was moving the case to a higher team. That was 3 days ago and I have heard nothing.
Very frustrating 😡

And now I see that Android Q or 10 is due to arrive shortly. Does this mean additional broken fitbit app updates or maybe things will start working. Wouldn't that be great?

Once again, this is a language problem. If you have app version 3.2, then you have the latest app for now. The new dashboard is a different animal. It comes from a different server. This is what I'm (and I assume you too) am asking for. We aren't getting any answers as to when it will arrive. I really wish Fitbit had never announced it until you were ready for everyone to have it.

Surprise! New dashboard arrived today. At first pass, I like it very much. I am curious about the Sleep score. That doesn't seem to be accessible unless I'm missing something.

It isn't there. Lots of folks miss it. For some, it is the primary reason
to have a FitBit. No official reason was given for the lack of data.

Don't understand obsession with new dashboard if it worked fitbit would roll it out we know there are bit missing - why court problems? It bit like turkeys voting for an early thanksgiving (Christmas in UK)

Yes, that's the score. The usual sleep info is still available. At least it was this morning. I was curious about the overall score because I was part of the beta testing for it. It was interesting, but I doubt it's worth paying for unless there is other useful information with the premium. I'll decide when I see it.

I turned off auto update for fitbit app, this morning I was sent a message inviting me to upgrade my fitbit experience presumably the new dashboard. It took me months to get my app and versa working. I have experienced all the fitbit experiences I want to experience.
Needless to say I declined!

Let me summarize my experience since purchasing a Fitbit Versa Special Edition and joining the Fitbit ecosystem:
1. Frequent loss of connected GPS, depending on the app's version.
2. Frequent loss of heart rate tracking, usually under high exertion, which is when I really need it.
3. Sometimes obviously wildly inaccurate heart rate data, rivaling what you get from a $29 Chinese watches.
4. Inability to export heart rate or sleep data to any of the major platforms, which means that all my data will be lost to me when I leave the Fitbit ecosystem (I really hope someone starts to fix this issue -- this is MY DATA!)
This morning it took a while to sync my sleep, it was off by about two hours at the start and then it didn't provide the usual data like REM, Deep or Light, with a cryptic message to try again later. I hope this is not the start of another new "Fitbit experience."
It's clear that this whole new app "experience" was designed so that Fitbit can split features which were implied as part of the Fitbit package and monetize them through a monthly fee. No, thanks.
Starting last year, Fitbit used pay-for-review sites to tout its SpO2 sensor and generate sales, only to move its rather lame integration of it behind a paywall now. I chose the Versa because I expected the SpO2 sensor to be rolled out early this year as implied.
Amazingly, Fitbit goes out of its way to find ways to alienate and embitter its users, and they've succeeded with me. Now I understand why smart investors are dumping it.
I will wait until September to choose my next device, but right now the Polar Ignite, the new Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and of course the upcoming Apple Watch and a few Garmin models are on my radar.
After this experience, Fitbit's Versa 2, or any other Fitbit product are off my list.

Rich, I appreciate the pointer to Fitbit Premium's information, but Fitbit has this the wrong way and it will hurt them.
I bought a hardware device and I expect that the data its sensors read off my wrist will be available to me now and when I purchase another device.
My sleep data should be available to me, in its full detail. No other company charges for this, as far as I am aware, nor should they be. This was the purpose I purchased the device for, at a set price and I should not be forced to pay a monthly fee after the fact.
Now, if Fitbit decided to charge for its food database, I can understand it. It has nothing to do with the data Fitbit reads from my body, but it provides an additional service which may be appealing to some (I personally use and pay for Cronometer). Similarly with Coach Premium.
I hope this helps clarify why users are justifiably angry with Fitbit. It goes a lot deeper than UI issues, or even the persistent connectivity issues.
