Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the Google App play store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/23
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

It isn't available for most of us because it is still in beta. The people who have it now are just a small number of people randomly selected for phase one. Hopefully the rest of us will get it if they move to phase two and invite more people.

To answer the question on 04-29-2019 16:09: As explained in my original post that started this eniter discussion, when I had the Beta version, I was not able to hide ANY of the Activity Items. I have no interest in most of the available Activity Items. I was only able to hide items from Today which I had no interest in hiding.
I have read the new help article and see that hiding Activity Items is now supposed to be possible. However, frankly, I am still so irritated with the situation and how Fitbit handled it that have not reinstalled the Beta version. In addition, I don't have any desire to, therefore, I cannot tell you if the last updated changed anything for me.

@Kenzibit I'm so glad to hear you're excited about this new dashboard! At this time, we can't manually add you to the Beta testing. You will eventually have it as we continue to roll it out but I can't provide a timeline for when that will be. Thanks for your participation in this thread!
@LinziNicholas @gtg947h @Dragainin Thanks so much for all your feedback. We wanted to create a more personalized experience with the new dashboard as we're always striving to make improvements to the Fitbit experience. I will forward your feedback and appreciate you all sharing some thoughts.
@ValerieAnne Hey, there! The new dashboard has been rolled out to a small number of users who were invited to test it out. We will eventually have it available for everyone, however, I don't have a timeline for when you can expect to see it. Please read more about this here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

I got the new update, waste of time, since update my Charge 2 will not sync, dashboard rework is garbage, doesn't show what I had, steps, calories, floors, miles, minutes, and can't find any way on the website to change it. Bring back the old version of the dashboard.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for sharing your feedback.
@Kenzibit As mentioned above, we do not have any timeline for when it will be available for all users.
@Foureyz In regards to the syncing issue you mentioned, please try to follow the steps listed in this help article. They will definitely help so that the Fitbit syncs. In the meantime please let us know what phone is it that you are using.
As for the information that is not showing up, you can read this section of the article on the new Dashboard on how to add tiles to the new version. That should help you get all of the information that you want to see.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or to share your feedback on the matter.

I only have two questions about the new dashboard (which I don't have yet - trying to be patient). 1. Will I be able to see fiber grams along with macro nutrients? Right now I have to go to the online dashboard to see that which is a pain. 2. Will battery life remaining show as a number instead of only a picture? Presently, I rely on the watch face for that. I'm glad I have the Ionic that offers watch face choices. It would be so nice to have the information so many of us rely on all in one place. If the answers to these are both yes, then soon please.

Thanks, @Giampi71 . That's better than zero, I guess. My present watch face has battery percentage as a number. I really wanted the fiber grams though. I guess I'm not in a hurry for this one.

Although the changelog says the usual "Bug fixes and performance improvements" on my Pixel the new version 2.94 is reverting the dashboard back to the old one.

Something similar happened when the last firmware update for the Ionic was announced. I wasn't "selected" for that beta test either, but kept up with the zillions of complaints on the forum. After a while, it was just crickets and people were speculating that Fitbit had pulled the update to fix the problems. We'll never know for certain, but when I finally got it, it worked perfectly. Perhaps, that's what's happening with the new dashboard. I did get to beta test the new sleep score feature. However, I had a choice. That's a better way to test something new. Ask if a user wants to be part of the test population. Don't just dump it on a selected few and announce to the world that this great new thing is there.

My app was updated today to a new look. For the dashboard I found the tile version was more of a dashboard now it is a list of things I track. I preferred the tiles.

I am not a fan of the new dashboard. I live for the confetti that lights up my page when I hit my daily goals. I’m on my second Fitbit...a user for roughly 4-5 years. This definitely makes the device far less fun.🤨

Can I go back to the old dashboard? I really liked it much more than the new version. Versa

For some reason, I am able to toggle between the old app and the beta version of the new app. In my opinion, beta version is definitely a step backward as far as appearance is concerned. The old icons are bigger and much mor visually appealing and the page layout is clearly better than the beta's "list view" appearance. As another poster commented, the sleep icon in the old app gives a view of your sleep stages, which is much more informative than the beta version that show only time asleep. The only improvement I see is the battery meter that shows actual percentage of charge left. Not sure why you guys at Fitbit foynd a need to change a perfectly functional and attractive dashboard. Seems like you should be focussing more on fixing your persistent performance isdues such as chronic syncing problems, phone call/text notifications not working, etc. While you're at it, you also might want to figure out how to respond more effectively to your customers and address their concerns individually rather than sending back canned responses. I have frequently received responses regarding technical issues telling me to do everything I have already stated I have tried. It's like Fitbit does not even read the content and just sends out automated replies.

I agree! I would love to go back or at least have the choice between what dashboard I have. My husband was not switched over, I am jealous he still has the old version.

Be careful what you wish for.
I much prefer the old dashboard. It was much easier to modify and had more details, sleep stages as an example, than the beta version. There are lots of comments from beta users that are unhappy.
Perhaps you will be the exception and like and enjoy it. Best of luck.
