Fitbit app on Redmi 10C, MIUI 13.08 cuts off wifi

When I open the Fitbit app for Inspire 3 on Redmi 10C, MIUI 13.08 , it cuts off wifi connection on whole phone.  Wifi eventually returns.  App won’t sync. Tho it will load data from Inspire 3 - if it feels like it!  App works perfectly on ipod, but I’d love to have it working on phone.  Any suggestions?

Now syncing happily after unpairing with bluetooth and rebooting phone.  Does it need to be paired with Bluetooth?

@Nicky.al Nice to see you again in the forums. Thanks for reaching out about the Fitbit app syncing with your Inspire 3.

Thanks for the explanation and details. Never heard of the app interfering with the WiFi connection. I am glad to read that you are now syncing after unpairing with bluetooth and rebooting phone. The Inspire 3 can sync even if it is not paired in the Bluetooth settings. It needs to be paired only for the notifications. You could try to set them up (How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?) and see if the Bluetooth pairing was causing it. I am interested to know if that is the cause. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Rodrigo for a helpful reply.  I tried twice to pair my inspire 3 on Bluetooth and failed twice.  No time at the moment to fiddle with it.  I’ll try later when I have time…..

Fitbit sometimes refuses to sync on Redmi.  not a big problem, as I can check on Ipod.  At least it no longer switches off my wifi connection!
