Hello @Ozzy1977, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I was reading your wife is having troubles with the Fitbit app since is opening on its own. Certainly this is the first time I heardsomething similar.
Now you mentioned you already uninstall and reinstall the app with no success. I'm wondering if your wife's phone is compatible? With mobile devices that are not listed as compatible, the behavior of the app may vary causing some issues, that might explain this behavior.
The other possible cause related to this issues, is that your wife has registered her tracker as a trusted device with Smart Lock. This is a feature most devices has nowadays and unlocks your phone when recognized certain signals like On-body detection, trusted places, trusted devices and other options depending of the brand of the phone. This feature can unlocks your phone when it recognized Bluetooth or NFC signals. With both options your phone can recognized the tracker and is possible this explain the behavior of the Fitbit app too.
Make sure this is not the case, but this options are in the phone settings of your wife's phone and may vary depending of the brand and model of the phone she is using.
