Hi all.
As I occasionally like to live dangerously, I'm downloading the new version of the Fitbit app and will report back if I I find anything interesting.
Android Version 3.11
Android Version 3.10.1
Android Version 3.10
Android Version 3.9.1 ~ Detailed reporting about fixes and bugs here.
Android Version 3.9 ~ Detailed reporting about fixes and bugs here.
Android Version 3.8 ~ Detailed reporting about fixes and bugs here.
Android Version 3.7 ~ Detailed reporting about fixes and bugs here.
Samsung Galaxy S7
Android OS 8.0.0

I'm not understanding the heart rate verbiage either since we've had this in the past. Hopefully someone can elaborate on this as well.
I think this was also an issue with the fonts in 3.9.1 from the reviews I saw in Play Store.
So it looks like nothing was done to fix the bugs and stable the app.

And a whole new 3.10 version is now up on the Play Store. Same version number (3.10), same "what's new" description.

It seems that with this NEW 3.10 version, the "what's new" description is actually true.
Now on our activities we can see clearly the avg and max HR bpm. That's actually a really nice addition.
The aforementioned bugs have not been fixed, it seems.

The heart rate feature is a nice addition.
Besides the bugs that have been an issue with all the 3.x versions, how is the app responding overall....any crashing / stopping, any issues with syncing and notifications, etc?

Please keep us posted if you start having any issues with crashing, syncing and notifications.
I would like to think that some bug fixes and stability were introduced to ths verion....but who knows.
I don't have 3.10 available as of yet so maybe they are rolling it out in very small phases to see if users start having issues.

So, right now the Play Store version has rolled all the way back to ....3.8 (!)

Does it also vary with the time of day on the same device ?
On the same device, there was 3.9.1 released, then it was gone and we got 3.8 as the latest, then 3.10 was released and then a newest (2nd) 3.10 version was also released, and now 3.8 seems to be the latest.
At least it seems that something is ..."getting done" so let's hope the devs will finally fix some bugs.

TBH I don't really mind the continuous version changes. I mean, at least it kinda shows that they *are* actually trying to fix the issues we are facing.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't have this version available as of yet in Play Store.
Have you tested it to see how it's working?

Hi @SunsetRunner
Seems stable with no crashes, so far.
Basic stuff seem to work.
Sync seems fine, too.
Call notifications tested and work OK (right caller ID, etc).
Probably gonna log a bike ride later to test it there, too.
Haven't tested yet the usual issues I have posted in the past in this topic.
Will update as I test them.
UPDATE:
- When I try to add friends to Challenges, they show up with a status of "No recent activity". All of them. This has not been fixed on 3.10.1
- Elevation Gain in activities is reported and wrongly shows as zero (0). This has not been fixed on 3.10.1.
- Fitbit App - "View All Posts" link does not display ALL posts by a user, but ONLY the last 5 of them. This has not been fixed on 3.10.1.
- UI bug with stats overlapping other stats on the "Recent" tab of an activity. a bug probably related to the screen resolution. Reported here. Still not fixed on 3.10.1.

I still only have V3.8 available
I did have 3.9.1 but during my dealings with CS I have uninstalled a few times.
Last time was Thursday and I got 3.8 check for updates and nothing available
Still no use at all on the GPS last night was 2.5 miles on my Fitbit. 3.25 on my wife's Versa on an IPhone.
For Android it is useless at the moment

Elevation Gain in activities is reported and wrongly shows as zero (0). Bug reported here and here. (Just tested it on a new Walk activity. The bug is also still unresolved with 3.10.1).
My latest bike ride / today confirms that the bug is not fixed with 3.10.1:

@Andyn1970
Thanks for the feedback.
It's really sad that the Android app is so buggy and inaccurate.
