Fitbit app won't open

This problem started while using my old phone (Oppo F1s - 2017) and has now continued even after I purchased a new phone (Oppo A57 - 2017 - Android version 6.0.1). After downloading the app it opens once, however, the next time I try to open it I get a blank white screen. Nothing happens, the app does not open so you cannot force it to close. The only way to access the app is if I delete and reinstall it. Very frustrating, I'm about to sell my fitbit and find another device.

I have tried all your suggestions and I still cannot open the app. I even deleted it and try to start again any other ideas?

Thanks

I’ve tried all these things multiple times and whenever I open my app it says “updating database” but it never finishes before force closing. I’ve turned off my Bluetooth. Restarted my phone. Deleted the app. Everything. It will not work

Sorry. What I was *trying* to post is that mine won't open either.

On iphone 8; one second after opening the app, it would close itself.  So, following your instructions, I couldn’t log out.  So I deleted the app first, then downloaded it again.  Thats how I logged out! Followed the rest of the steps and now is working again.

thanks!

How can  I log out of the Fitbit app if it won't load. I don't want to delete it. I am in the middle of a company challenge this month for steps (it takes $15 a month off my insurance next year). How do I get

back into it and not loose my steps for this month?

You won’t loose any info by deleting the app.

I too am having problem of Fitbit app not opening.  I followed your steps, but they did not solve problem.  App just doesn’t open.  Fitbit app is up to date. I cannot take screenshot of white screen because it there only a second before returning me to main apps dashboard

I I cannot even login - when I try to open app, there is very brief white screen with “Fitbit” at top, then it automatically shuts down and returns me to main dashboard for all apps.

Followed your steps, still the app won't open. App is up to date (android), last available update was August 30th. Only way to get app to open is by deleting and reinstalling.

I turned off Bluetooth, shut off my phone and turned it on again after two minutes, turned on Bluetooth. I still can’t open the Fitbit app. It still shows a blank page.

Don’t know what to suggest. Maybe contact fitbit directly as I did.

Thanks. It did work one hour or two after I had turned Bluetooth off and on again.

Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to fix the logging issues with the Fitbit app prior to contacting us.

I'm glad to hear that some of you were able to solve the crashing issue after updating the Fitbit app again.

If you're still running into this crashing issue, can you please confirm that you started having this inconvenience after updating to 3.6? If so, please update Fitbit app to 3.6.1 via the app store. If you're on 3.6 please uninstall and install 3.6.1 from the App Store.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome, I'll be around and glad to further assist you all.

Hey there,

I upgraded to 3.6.1 yesterday and started encountering these issues on iPhone X. I tap the Fitbit app icon and I get a white screen for an instant then returned to my phone menu screen. I’ve restarted, powered off, toggled Bluetooth on/off etc as suggested here but no luck.

Could someone help at all please? I can access my dashboard through safari but the data won’t sync.

Thanks.

I am using the 3.11 version, but app not starting. It shows white screen with Fitbit on it and then crashes again. Followed all the steps you mentioned earlier. Nothing helped. Kindly provide some fruitful solution.
