Does the fitbit app need to be constantly running on my phone? Will it burn my data?

Hi, @Pakistanimal! I believe it does need to be running to send your notifications over to your tracker, if you have notifications set up or all day sync. I just checked my data usage for this month and the app used 0.1GB in the foreground and 0.21GB in the background. I'm not sure how much of that was doing things like downloading data from the server and syncing and how much of it was just Fitbit running.
