About the issue you mentioned the steps from yesterday was still showing, I'm wondering if this was only on your Fitbit app or it was reflecting the same information on your Fitbit tracker?
If the steps are not resetting in your Fitbit tracker, this might be related to the configuration of your Fitbit app. If this is the case the following post might give you some additional help. If this was only with your app it might be result your information is not updating.
