I have a fitbit 3 and since the update the time on the watch had been incorrect and I have had problems conecconne to the application.

Welcome to the Forums @ARicho.
Let me help you get your Fitbit to sync and display the correct time once again.
It could be that the time and syncing situations are related. The Fitbit should correct the time it is showing after a sync. Since it is not syncing, it might have gotten the wrong time and correct it. My suggestion would be try to follow all of the steps listed in this help article. They should help you get it to sync and thus correct the time.
