Hello,
Since the last app update with the facelift, etc, I'm noticing a persistent notification in Android I was not seeing before. The notification is for the Fitbit sync service.
I'd like to disable this persistent notification. Is there a way within the app, or do I need to hide it with the Android OS options?
Thanks,

Hi everyone. I think i may have found a way to remove the persistent sync notification.
Go to your phone settings, and find "Apps and Notifications". Then select " App Info" .
In the list of All Apps, find Fitbit and select it. Then Select "App Notifications". Scroll to bottom of list and switch off "Sync Service".
This worked for me.

Hello @juliocgut, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!
I appreciate the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using? Also, you have the All day sync feature enabled? This particular notification cannot be deleted? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following:
Keep me posted.
I tried all the steps below, but the notification is still there.
I have a Google Pixel 2XL running Android 9 with the latest security patch (5 Aug 2019). All day sync and Always connected are disabled. And yes, the notification is a persistent one; I cannot remove it by swiping it off.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,

I'll be around.
Best AnswerHello @RicardoFitbit
Here's a screenshot where you can see the notification. Cannot be swiped out.
The screen you see is for Android 10 - got the update a few days back. Still the same behavior as in Android 9.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Best AnswerHi, I followed those steps and the notification appears just has screenshotted above by the original poster. I long-pressed the notification hit the settings gear that appears and selected stop showing but it's still appears throughout the day.
Best AnswerI've been having the same issue! But my Fitbit isn't syncing unless I go in and click on it to sync. It's really starting to annoy me.

Worked for me too! It looks like this is a new option since updating my phone because it wasn't there until recently.
Best AnswerWorked for me as well, and indeed looks like a new option that wasn't there before.
Fixed!
Thanks!
