Fitbit syncing sporadically with no settings changes

After over a year with no problems my fitbit charge HR stopped syncing with my phone. I tried various things like changing settings and updating the app etc but nothing worked. Suddenly a few weeks later it synced with me doing nothing to my phone. Then it stopped syncing again. After a month of no syncing yesterday it suddenly worked again, but today it won't sync. I've not changed any settings or even turned my phone off. The only error I get is "cannot reach fitbit.com to sync" but I have got internet for other sites.

Hey @Kkath! I'd like to chime in to help.

In this case I recommend that we try to reset the connection between the Fitbit and your Moto G. To do so, let's try the following:

1. Access your phone's Bluetooth settings and look for your Fitbit.

2. Remove the tracker from the list.

3. Then, try to do the setup on your account by going into the account tab.

4. Tap on 'Set Up a New Device' and select your Fitbit.

After the setup is complete, your tracker should start syncing properly.

Please let me know how it goes!

Hello @Kkath, good to see you here in the Fitbit Community. I wonder if your mobile phone is compatible with the Fitbit app and the Charge HR? To review this you can go to the following link: https://www.fitbit.com/devices to see the latest list of compatible devices.

In addition, take a look at the following link for more help with syncing issues: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this). It might help you to get you back on track.

Keep me posted how it goes. See you around!

Hi, its a Moto g which the list says is compatible. It's worked just fine for over a year, but stopped syncing a few weeks before Xmas. I tried all the things on the list, to no avail, but then suddenly, when I hadn't changed anything it synced for one day. It then stopped again for all of January. A couple of days ago (again when I'd done nothing to my phone) it synced again, but refused to sync the following morning.

Thanks, after 3 factory resets and removing it from the bluetooth list - plus a panicky half hour when it couldn't find it to put it back on it has now stayed in contact with my phone for 3 days!
