I'm reporting a bug in the Fitbit app for Android. I had my widgits disappear. This link explains how the app configuration information needs to change: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-the-widgets-of-apps-installed-to-external-storage-not-work

Thanks for bringing this to my attention with the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using? Also, when did you experienced this? It was after an update? If you haven't already done so, please try the following steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the app.
  6. Login using your Fitbit credentials.
  7. Let me know if the issue persist.

The problem was caused when I moved the Fitbit app to the external SD card on my phone.  After searching for the problem, I found the article I sent to you.  When I moved the app back to the internal memory, the widgets came back.  So the problem is, apparently, that the Fitbit app doesn't have the right configuration info as part of the installation-- it should not allow the app to be moved to external storage.
