Updated the app this week, since then will not sync unless I uninstall app, and redo Bluetooth connections. Then will only sync once and need to uninstall again. Have Samsung Galaxy S4

@recia Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that your device won't sync after updating the Futbit app. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
Let me know how it goes!

Was able to sync to my computer, which then sends info to phone on a delayed basis. But after following help desk instructions to un pair all other divices from my phone, I could not pair them again. Had to reset all to factory settings (phone and car)
Best AnswerWhen I press the button on the left of the watch first time nothing happens, second time I get a "flash" repeat of the last screen I saw, third time I get steps and time readings but no heart rate...
The fitbit has not worked since the "update" they put in a few days ago or following 2 x "chats" and 2 x lengthy calls with them.
So my fitbit lasts for just a year - watch out!
Best AnswerI am having the same issues. Im lucky if it syncs once a day and if that. I get bluetooth connectivity issue messages all day long and follow the instructions. About the only way I can get it to sync now is by restarting my phone. Uuuuh no, im not going to do that all day long! And for some reason my sleep was not recorded last night which really upsets me because I made it a point to really try to get a good sleep last night. Im so frustrated
Best AnswerJust got off the phone with help line, could not pair my device to anything. His only option to me is to buy another Fitbit. I will be looking for another brand if Fitbit can't even last for two years. Not a good product apparently.
I am same person who started this. Got my wife's alta out (has not been used for almost two years) Fitbit updated her Alta, I signed into app. it synced once or twice and then no more. This was two days ago, still nothing. I have not call help line, as I assume they will just tell me to purchase a new one. there has to be some problem in app that Fitbit does not want to acknowledge or fix.
Best AnswerIf your fitbit's syncing fine with your phone, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR FITBIT APP. Turn off auto updates in the Google play store settings and update your other apps manually. Updating a good working Fitbit app is almost a guaranteed way to cause nothing but problems.
