Food entries appearing in app despite not entering data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I go to the food section of the app, there are a load of entries for days where I haven't input any data (I don't use the Fitbit app for food tracking). I probably have it synced with MyFitnessPal somewhere but I haven't used MyFitnessPal for food tracking in a long time either so I have no idea where these entries are coming from. Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi @drguildo, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that food entries were logged into your account. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if besides MyFitnessPal, you use another third-party app to log food entries that might be linked to your Fitbit account? When was the fist time you experienced this and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please go to Fitbit.com and check if the food entries are there so we can determine if this is being affected by the app or your account.

Keep me posted.

I also had it linked with FatSecret but, like with MFP, I haven't used it for actually logging food in a very long time.

There don't seem to be any foods logged on the website Dashboard.

Since unlinking MFP and FatSecret I haven't had any more entries but the food history in the app is still full of all these "fake" entries and there doesn't seem to be a way to delete them all without going through each one individually which would be very time consuming!

Your reply and update are appreciated @drguildo, sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for the information that was shared with me, seems odd that one of your third-party apps were logging food entries without you actually logging them. So we can move forward with this, can you please re-link just one of the apps that were previously mentioned and let me know if the "fake" food entries situation is experienced again? This way we will be able to determine which app is causing this to make a report.

As it turns out, there's no way to delete all the entries at once, you'll need to delete each one individually because the entries were logged by a third party app.

Looking forward to your reply and let me know if you have any additional questions.
