I am setting up my fitbit and get to the point with 4 squares to "Pair your tracker". My fitbit hasnt' synced since Feb 12 - obviously I haven't been using it. Anyway, it won't sync and I am trying to reset it up and need to know what the heck goes into the four squares. Thanks.

It's good to see you around the forums for the first time @BaBaWaWa, welcome.
I've just updated the title for clarity in case other users have the same question, but I saw in the previous tittle that you were able to complete the setup process successfully, that's great news.
I would say the 4 squares during the setup process that you mentioned is the part when the app requires you to enter a 4 digit code that will appear on your tracker's display. As soon as you enter the code you should be able to continue with the process.
