GPS Causes Exercise to Stop Working on My Google Pixel Watch 2

This is a common issue many people are having from what I've found online..

When going into my FitBit Exercises and selecting Walk or kayaking (happens with all GPS available exercises), it will show connecting to GPS and then all of a sudden it goes back to the exercise selection screen. My software on the watch, phone and the FitBit app are all up-to-date. I have done all the usual steps, uninstall/reinstall the FitBit app. Clear cache, reboot the watch and the phone. The only thing have not done is a factory reset on the watch but from what understand from community messages about this issue, others have done this without success.

I tried chatting with FitBit but the person I spoke with said I had to chat with another department as she couldn't help and the link provided took me back to the same page I had gone through to get to chat with her.

This is has been happening for a long time now and it sucks having this great watch for tracking my fitness but having to go through my phone if I want to use GPS tracking.

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you using the Charge 2 built in GPS or the phones GPS. Have you tested this with both?

As my subject line states I'm using the Google Pixel Watch 2 which has built-in GPS.
