GPS Map data from bike/run not showing in app.

I'm so annoyed with Fitbit over this.  I am STILL having issues with the maps not loading into the Android App (I have a note 8, and the phone, the app and my ionic are all up to date).  The maps from my activities show fine on my dashboard on fitbit.com, but they will not show in the app.  I do not want to have to log into the website constantly to see my activities.  I have tried restarting the phone, my fitbit, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  Nothing works.

I'm ready to give up on Fitbit, honestly.  They have ZERO good customer support.

Hi there @Fertetkingdom, good to see you here in the Fitbit Community! I was reading your maps are not loading in the Fitbit app, but is loading in your online Dashboard. In this case I would like to recommend to review the version of your Fitbit app. I appreciate your feedback and I understand the frustration you have been through, with this issue.

There was a new released that contain stability improvement that might be of you help if the issue continue. For more details please refer to this post.

Additionally try these steps: Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. (This may vary depending of the Android device and the OS version) Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

See you later and hope this helps.

@RobertoME I updated to the current app version,  and followed the steps.   Sadly I still have incomplete map data in the app.

Hi @RobertoME,

I have exactly the same issues as Fertetkingdom, updated app, cleared cache, restarted phone, force stopped etc, etc. All of the data is available on the Computer dashboard online but it isn't available in the app on my Samsung Galaxy S8. So far it has missed two rides but seems to show the data from my runs.

Hi there @Fertetkingdom and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @Cyclops. Thank you both for sharing additional screenshots, as more details. and trying my previous recommendation.

I've been looking this issue and we had a few reports of a similar behavior in the iOS platform. This behavior with the map not showing the full route in the Fitbit app is a glitch affecting this functionality. Nonetheless it should not interfere with your exercise stats, this issue is limited that is not possible to render the correct map route.

I will pass this information to our team and in the meantime, perhaps trying to set your tracker back to your Fitbit account as a replacement device, will do the trick. (Do no remove your tracker completely from your account for this purpose and make sure to sync before you proceed).

See you around and thank you for bringing this behavior to my attention.

8 months since this was raised andf it still seems to be a problem. Intermittently I am not seeing detailed stats of my bike rides in the Android app as recorded with my Ionic. This includes no route data (only my ending point), no speed data (only and average speed), no heart rate data, and no calorie data. All is visible and present if viewed from the web based dashboard so this is clearly an App issue.

I like my Ionic but I'm really disappointed with Fitbit's support of its products. I have found a number of pretty significant bugs in the android app which have been discussed on here repeatedly and for quite some time but do not seem to be getting resolved, yet, Fitbit keep churning out new devices. Fitbit needs to focus on resolving these issues rather then expanding their range or no one will want to buy them.

Its a shame you brought Pebble. I'd be very interested in their devices right now.

And that lack of support is why I got a garmin.   :(Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note8, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

And that's why I ended up with a garmin.   I don't have any app/data issues and the support is much better.

It's April 2019 and I have exactly the same issue, using a Charge 3.

Maps appear on the dashboard on my PC but not on the Android app on my Galaxy S7.

I've tried the clear cache, clear data, force stop, restart phone, but the maps still don't show up in the app.  Just the red circle/wait symbol whirling away to itself.

Personally, I'd rather not buy a Garmin (as the OP did) as I found thier software clunky and buggy.

Any update or ideas on this issue anyone?  Thanks.
