I am using the Fitbit app on Android 7.0 with the Flex 2. I have always connected on and all day sync off.
My exercise log for running keeps getting deleted. I have been using my phone's GPS with the Fitbit app to track my run. I manually start tracking the run and take my phone with me. When I finish I'll checkout the map and splits, but when I back out of it it's gone.
The first time I used the the GPS tracker it worked just fine. The second and third time it would save my run and I could go back and look at it again. However, when I synced my Flex 2, all the data was gone and was replaced with the auto tracker info which doesn't show mileage or pace. I thought it was the auto tracker overwriting the manually saved data so I turned auto tracker on last time but it still deletes my data.

Hi, @rloewe! Do you pause the tracker during the run? It seems there's a glitch that Fitbit still hasn't fixed that when you're tracking a run or walk from within the app with GPS and pause and restart it, it looks like it finishes correctly, shows you the information when you finish the tracking, and then disappears. Found it out the hard way. I believe that if you don't pause it should register all right.

This happens to me ALL the time-not even when I'm pausing during the run. It is entirely way to obnoxious. My health app that came free with my phone works better than the fitbit app.
My map will appear and then it is completely gone...forever....
